What is Cider App?
Cider (AKA Cycada) was originally created by students from Columbia University as a free open sourced program. Once installed onto an android device, it allows some of the iPhone applications and games to run. Keep in mind, this android program should be seen as a educational project, which has not been fully tested or perfected.
However, it’s definitely the best iOS emulator for an android device for free!
As stated earlier, this program has not been perfected and you will experience some compatibility issues with hardware such as volume, power, camera and GPS.
How to Install Cider (Cycada)
- Navigate to your Android Device Settings > Security and allow install from unknown sources (You can turn this off later once you are finish)
- Locate the file you downloaded on your phone or if you downloaded with your PC. You can easily plug your android phone via USB and transfer the Cider APK file
- Once you located your file on your android smartphone
- Open the Cider APK file and install.
