The Covenant

The Covenant Kodi add-on is another new kid on the block that may be replacing the classic Exodus when it becomes obsolete, simply due to updates.

As you know, TVADDONS.ag took over the add-on Exodus when Lambda decided to retire as its developer. Now during the whole lawsuit fiasco between TVADDONS.ag and Dish Network, TVADDONs disappeared along with all its data, website, repositories, support and more.

This brings us a problem of who was going to update Exodus…. and it seems that without updates or a developer to maintain the add-on. It will eventually cease to exist due to problems that may arise from outdated links or whatever else.

Covenant seems to be the best possible alternative as it’s a fork of Exodus and has been stated from its developer that this will be a better and improved version of Exodus.

Why use Covenant?

Well… why not? It’s only going to be another movie/TV show add-on onto your list and it really doesn’t take that much space.

Of course, you’re going to get an add-on that will be supported and maintained which means you will be using an add-on with reliability and quality experience. Exodus will eventually fade out of existence, but it still functions.

Like with all third party add-ons for Kodi, they seem to cease to function eventually and reincarnated into another new add-on.

If you’re use to the Exodus menu setup, then you’ll be able to hear that it looks identical to Exodus. You won’t  have to learn to navigate, find, or explore new categories. Eventually

Covenant Menu:

Same breakdown, you’ll find that you can select your genre, year, people, languages, certificates, people watching and more. Lots of ways to narrow down you titles.

Covenant - Channels
Covenant – Channels

I actually like this section, it adds more content to this add-on by having movie channels you pick from and you can choose whether you want to be on an action, kids, showcase channel. It streams movies 24/7 if you’re use to flipping through movie channels, this will give you the same vibe.

If not, you can always on demand whatever movie and TV show you want through the movies and TV show section.

Covenant - New Movies or Episodes

Here is a section for listing new movies or TV shows depending on what you picked in the Covenant menu.

Covenant - Search
Covenant – Search

There were some problems with searching on Exodus for awhile, but you won’t find that issue here. Search quickly for your target movie/TV show title and stream is immediately instead of scrolling through pages and pages of titles.

So now that we’ve explored the Covenant add-on and have noticed its not much of a difference, but offers the same reliable punch of Exodus. You’ll be please to have the Covenant add-on into your Kodi family.
